Group Sales Director – IT Managed Services (MSP)
£50,000–£60,000 basic £150K ote + uncapped commission + recurring income opportunity + potential equity/profit share
Are you a proven IT sales professional looking for your next big opportunity?
What if, instead of simply selling for someone else's business, you could help grow an MSP, earn substantial rewards for the business you bring in, and potentially share in the value you help create?
We're looking for an entrepreneurial Sales Director to drive new business for an established IT Managed Services Provider (MSP). This is an opportunity for a commercially minded individual who knows the market, has strong relationships and is confident turning those relationships into profitable, long-term customer partnerships.
This isn't a role for someone who needs to be handed a list of prospects. We're looking for someone who can open doors, create opportunities and make things happen.
The opportunity
You'll take ownership of new business development, using your existing market knowledge to win new customers and help accelerate the company's growth.
You'll have the freedom to develop your own approach, with a highly rewarding package and commission structure designed to recognise the business you generate and the long-term value you create.
What's in it for you?:
£50,000–£60,000 basic salary £150K ote
Uncapped earning potential, with attractive commission linked to the gross profit you generate.
Enhanced rewards for new business, with an opportunity to maximise earnings on early wins.
Recurring income potential, allowing you to benefit from the ongoing business you bring into the company.
Potential equity participation, giving you the opportunity to share in the company's growth.
The opportunity to play a significant role in shaping the future growth of the business.
For the right person, this could be much more than another Sales Director job. It's an opportunity to be a part of building something commercially valuable and be rewarded for the difference you make.
What you'll be doing
Winning new business for the MSP, focusing on profitable managed IT services and associated technology solutions.
Building relationships with business owners, senior decision-makers, IT Directors and other key stakeholders.
Developing and converting a pipeline of new business opportunities.
Identifying opportunities for recurring managed services and longer-term customer partnerships.
Managing the sales process from initial conversation through to negotiation and contract win.
Working closely with the delivery team to ensure customers receive the right solutions.
Helping shape the company's sales strategy and future growth plans.
Contributing to the longer-term value of the business, with the potential to benefit from that growth.
What we're looking for:
We're particularly interested in people who can demonstrate:
A successful track record of winning new business within an IT Managed Services Provider or a closely related technology environment.
The confidence and credibility to engage with senior decision-makers.
A proactive, entrepreneurial approach, with the drive to build a business rather than simply manage an existing pipeline.
A genuine appetite for a performance-related package and the motivation to maximise your earning potential.
You'll be comfortable operating autonomously, taking ownership of your results and identifying opportunities others might miss.
Who might this suit?
Perhaps you're an established MSP Business Development Director or Sales Director with a strong network and a desire for greater financial upside.
Maybe you're a successful new-business hunter who has reached the ceiling of your current package and wants a more entrepreneurial opportunity that offers real rewards and career development opportunities.
If you have the experience, commercial drive and ambition to make a real difference, we'd love to hear from you.
