Job type: Full-time
Experienced Carpenter or Joiner? Your next opportunity could be here!
Are you an experienced Carpenter or Joiner who takes pride in quality craftsmanship, attention to detail and a job well done?
We're recruiting on behalf of an established, family-run specialist business working on staircase refurbishment, renovation and replacement projects in homes across the South of England.
The business values quality workmanship, reliability and treating customers' homes with care and respect. It's now looking for a skilled, conscientious Carpenter / Joiner to join its team.
If you're looking for a hands-on role where you can use your skills, work alongside experienced tradespeople and take genuine pride in the finished result, we'd love to hear from you.
The role
You'll work on staircase refurbishment, renovation and replacement projects in residential properties across the South of England.
Every property and project is different, so attention to detail, a professional approach and pride in your craftsmanship are essential.
Your responsibilities will include:
-
Refurbishing, renovating and replacing staircases in residential properties.
-
Carrying out carpentry and joinery work to a high standard.
-
Working effectively alongside experienced colleagues while being confident completing tasks independently.
-
Maintaining high standards of workmanship and paying close attention to the finished result.
-
Treating customers, their homes and their belongings with care and respect.
-
Keeping your working environment tidy and professional.
-
Travelling to customer properties and adapting to start and finish times that may vary depending on the day's work.
What we're looking for
We're keen to hear from experienced Carpenters and Joiners who combine strong practical skills with a reliable, professional and customer-friendly approach.
You'll need:
-
At least five years' experience in carpentry.
-
A full, valid UK driving licence.
-
The ability to travel to customer properties across Hampshire and the surrounding areas as required.
-
A friendly, respectful and professional manner when working in customers' homes.
-
The ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.
Experience in staircase refurbishment, staircase installation or specialist joinery would be a real advantage but by no means essential!
You don't need to have spent your entire career specialising in staircases. If you have strong general carpentry skills, enjoy producing quality work and are interested in developing your experience further, we'd welcome a conversation.
Salary, hours and benefits
-
Salary: circa £46,000 per annum, negotiable depending on experience.
-
Full-time position, approximately 42.5 hours per week.
-
Company pension.
-
On-site parking.
-
Varied residential projects across the South of England.
-
The opportunity to join an established business with an experienced team and a focus on quality workmanship.
