Job role: Hospital Porter
Days of Working: Monday till Friday
Shift timings: 11:30am -8pm OR 9am – 5pm
Payrate: 14.80/hr PAYE + holiday pay
Location: Kingston Hospital , Galsworthy Rd, Kingston upon Thames KT2 7QB
Pay cycle: Weekly
Hospital Porter Duties – Kingston Hospital
- Transport patients safely between wards and departments.
- Move patients to theatres, clinics and diagnostic departments.
- Transfer deceased patients from wards to the mortuary respectfully and with dignity.
- Move deceased patients using appropriate trolleys and follow hospital procedures.
- Move beds, wheelchairs, trolleys and medical equipment.
- Collect and deliver medical supplies, specimens and documents.
- Assist nursing staff and other hospital departments when required.
- Follow infection control, health and safety and confidentiality procedures.
- Maintain patient privacy and treat deceased persons and their families with respect.
(please note on occasions they may be required to porter the deceased).
