Our client is a well-established and growing steel fabrication business with over 25 years of industry experience, specialising in the design, manufacture and installation of a wide range of steel products including handrails, railings, ramps and bespoke fabrications.
Due to continued growth and a healthy workload, they are seeking an experienced MIG Welder / Fabricator to join their workshop team on a permanent basis.
Key Responsibilities:
Fabricate structural and architectural steelwork from engineering drawings.
Mark out, measure and prepare materials accurately.
MIG weld mild steel components to a high standard.
Read and interpret fabrication drawings independently.
Assemble fabricated parts and complete quality checks.
Operate general fabrication machinery and workshop equipment safely.
Ensure all work is completed in line with production schedules and quality standards.
Maintain a clean and safe working environment.Beneficial Skills / Qualifications:
Proven experience as a MIG Welder / Fabricator.
Ability to read, understand and work directly from engineering drawings.
Experienced in marking out and fabricating components from scratch.
Competent MIG welding mild steel.
Able to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
Positive attitude and reliable work ethic.Additional Details:
