We're looking for a dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistant to join our team and help our students overcome challenges, build confidence and achieve outcomes they never thought possible. Whether you're experienced in education or looking to take the next step into a rewarding career, this is an opportunity to change lives while developing your own skills and experience.

Working closely with teachers and other professionals to deliver effective support strategies.
Helping to create a safe, positive and inclusive learning environment.
Monitoring progress and celebrating achievements, both big and small.
Supporting educational visits, enrichment activities and wider school life.
What you will bring
You don't need to have all the answers. What matters most is your ability to build positive relationships and your passion for helping young people succeed.
Caring, patient and compassionate.
Resilient, positive and calm under pressure.
Passionate about supporting children and young people.
A strong communicator and team player.
Adaptable and able to respond to individual needs.
Motivated to learn and develop professionally.

About Us
Waterloo Lodge School is an independent specialist day school for boys and girls aged 11 to 17, catering primarily for students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), many of whom may also have additional complex needs. We support students from Lancashire and the surrounding areas.
Our dedicated team works collaboratively to provide a safe, supportive and structured learning environment that enables every student to achieve their full potential. We are committed to nurturing each young person’s individual strengths and aspirations, supporting their independence, social and personal development.
We pride ourselves on helping students build confidence, resilience and independence, encouraging them to take pride in their achievements and to develop the skills they need for the next stage of their education and future life. Socially, we support our students to develop a greater understanding of the wider community in which they live and to participate in it with confidence and respect.
At Outcomes First Schools, we provide specialist education for learners who need a deeper level of understanding, expertise and support than mainstream education can typically offer. We support students with a wide range of complex, co-occurring and neurodivergent needs, including autism, ADHD, SEMH, speech and communication needs, dyslexia and experiences of trauma or adversity.
We are proud to be a part of OFG Education who in 2025 were officially certified as a ‘Great Place to Work’ for the sixth year running.
