After School Care Assistant
Required for November 2026
Hoe Bridge School is looking to appoint an enthusiastic and caring Assistant to join its friendly and dedicated After School Care Team. This is a part-time position for an immediate start and would suit someone who enjoys working with children and takes pride in creating a safe, happy and welcoming environment at the end of the school day.
The successful candidate will be a reliable, trustworthy and responsible individual who is confident working with children and committed to providing high-quality care and support. You will play an important role in ensuring that pupils feel comfortable, valued and well cared for while attending After School Care, helping them to enjoy a positive and engaging end to their day.
Working as part of a small, supportive team, you will assist with the day-to-day running of the provision. Responsibilities will include welcoming children, supporting activities and games, supervising pupils, helping with refreshments and ensuring that the environment remains safe, organised and enjoyable. You will build positive relationships with pupils and encourage them to develop their confidence, independence and social skills.
The role reports to the After School Care Manager, who will provide guidance and support as required. Previous experience of working with children would be advantageous, although we are also keen to hear from applicants who can demonstrate the right attitude, enthusiasm and commitment to providing excellent care.
