About This Role
We are looking for a caring and compassionate Healthcare Assistant to support a young boy with autism and epilepsy who is non-verbal.
The role involves providing after-school support, spending quality time with him and encouraging him to engage in play and activities he enjoys. You will also support him to have positive experiences at home and out in the community, helping him feel safe, comfortable and included.
We are looking for someone who is patient, gentle and passionate about working with children. Building a trusting relationship, understanding his individual needs and providing consistent, person-centred support will be key to this role.
You will also assist with personal care and continence needs, always maintaining his dignity, privacy and comfort. You will be supported in understanding his individual care requirements and epilepsy care plan to ensure he receives safe and appropriate care.

Clinical Experience
Previous experience supporting children with complex healthcare needs is desirable.
Where required, specialist clinical training will be provided by our highly skilled, in-house nursing team.
Essential Requirements
To be considered for this role, applicants must:
- Have a minimum of 3 months' paid experience working in a professional care setting within the UK.
- Have the right to work in the UK*
- Be committed to delivering safe, compassionate and child-centred care.
- Be willing to complete client-specific, clinical training where required.
- Hold a full UK driving licence.
We do not hold a sponsorship licence and are therefore unable to consider applicants requiring sponsorship.
