Job Specification – Production Operator
Job Purpose
To manufacture and assemble cable sub-assemblies and components in accordance with customer drawings, technical specifications and written work instructions, ensuring all products meet the required quality standards and production requirements.
Key Responsibilities

Assemble cable sub-assemblies using hand tools and crimping equipment.

Carry out hand and machine crimping operations.

Undertake mechanical assembly and cable preparation tasks.

Cut cables and other materials to the required specifications.

Perform basic component assembly in line with technical drawings and work instructions.

Read, interpret and follow customer drawings and written instructions.

Use basic measuring and testing equipment to verify product dimensions and quality.

Ensure all work is completed accurately and in accordance with quality standards and production procedures.

Maintain a clean, safe and organised working environment.

Follow all relevant health and safety procedures.
Skills and Experience Required

Previous experience using hand and/or machine crimping equipment.

Experience in wiring and cable assembly.

Ability to read and understand technical drawings and written work instructions.

Good manual dexterity and attention to detail.

Ability to work accurately and consistently to defined specifications.
