WAREHOUSE OPERATIVE
B3 Shopfitting are a joinery led shop fitter and manufacturing company based in Stone, Staffordshire.
We require someone with warehouse experience to join our friendly workshop team based in our modern facility on the Stone Business Park, Stone,Staffordshire.
This is a brand new position working alongside the workshop manager. We anticipate the role will develop but initially duties will include:
- Take deliveries, check damaged or missing items, booking in
- Tie up deliveries with PO’s and delivering to recipient or storing as required
- Offloading deliveries using appropriate handling ie by hand, forklift truck
- Stock picking/co-ordination of supplies ready for site fitters to take to project
- Visual stock checking and reporting to restock as required
- Loading of casework deliveries onto truck ready for delivery
- Sorting delivery notes and instructions to HGV driver
- Collecting goods from local suppliers as required, sometimes on a short notice basis.
- Cleaning and maintaining of goods-in and workshop areas
- Following health & safety requirements, equipment checking etc
You will also be required to carry out other workshop duties which may include sanding and wrapping or similar taks, as required to get the job done.
You will need to be flexible with your working hours, early starts at 6:30am may be required.
You will have:
- Driving licence essential
- Forklift truck licence would be an advantage but full training will be provided
- Good level of fitness, ability to handle materials
- Knowledge of warehousing including health & safety legislation would be an advantage
In return we can offer a rate of pay in line with your experience based on a standard 40 hour week; package includes workplace pension, uniform, overtime.
