A leading engineering business is looking to recruit an Electrical Controls Design Engineer to support the design and delivery of innovative automation and control systems for complex engineering projects.
The Role
Design electrical control systems and industrial control panels
Produce electrical schematics, panel layouts and technical documentation
Develop Bills of Materials (BOMs) and support component selection
Perform electrical load calculations and design verification
Support manufacturing, installation and commissioning activities
Drive continuous improvement and value-engineering initiatives
Work closely with project, manufacturing and installation teams
Skills & Experience
Electrical Controls Design experience
Industrial Control Panel Design
EPLAN P8 experience preferred
Knowledge of PLCs, VFDs and automation systems
Electrical CAD experience
Strong understanding of electrical engineering principles
Desirable
EPLAN Pro Panel
Siemens or Beckhoff systems
UL508A knowledge
Functional Safety (ISO13849 / IEC62061)
