Electrical Estimator – M&E
SSA are recruiting an Electrical Estimator on behalf of a specialist Mechanical & Electrical contractor based in North London. You will prepare accurate and competitive electrical tenders, working closely with suppliers, subcontractors and internal teams.
About the client
Our client is a specialist Mechanical & Electrical contractor delivering technically demanding construction projects. This position offers the opportunity to play a key role in securing new work, working closely with the commercial and project teams.
Key responsibilities

Prepare detailed electrical estimates from drawings, specifications and tender documents.

Complete quantity take-offs and calculate labour, material and subcontractor costs.

Obtain and assess supplier and subcontractor quotations.

Review tender requirements, identifying risks, exclusions and opportunities.

Prepare tender submissions, clearly outlining pricing assumptions and clarifications.

Attend tender review meetings and support handovers to project delivery teams.
Requirements

Minimum 3 years Experience electrical estimating within M&E or electrical contracting.

Good understanding of electrical installations, drawings and specifications.

Ability to prepare accurate take-offs and competitive tender submissions.

Experience obtaining and comparing supplier and subcontractor quotations.

Strong numerical, communication and organisational skills.
-
Relevant electrical or building services qualification, or equivalent practical experience
