We are currently working with a Local Authority in Kent that is seeking an experienced Housing Standards Officer to provide temporary support within its Private Sector Housing Team.
This role requires a contractor with a strong background in private sector housing enforcement and the ability to manage a varied caseload of housing standards work.
Key Responsibilities

Carrying out Housing Act 2004 enforcement activity

Undertaking HHSRS inspections and assessments

Investigating damp and mould complaints

Managing private sector housing complaints and disrepair cases

Delivering HMO licensing and compliance work

Serving statutory notices and progressing enforcement action
Essential Experience
-
Previous experience within a Local Authority Private Sector Housing or Housing Standards Team

Strong knowledge of housing enforcement legislation

Experience conducting HHSRS inspections

Background in damp and mould investigations

Experience handling disrepair and private sector housing complaints
