A Regional Accountant for Three Dealerships.
You will be responsible for the financial management, control, reporting, and performance analysis of three dealership sites. The role provides financial leadership and support to operational management teams, ensuring robust financial controls, accurate reporting, and the delivery of key business objectives.
The Regional Accountant will lead and develop a team of 4-5 finance professionals, drive financial performance, and act as a trusted business partner to General Managers and departmental leaders across the region.
Sites include Kidlington, Swindon and Banbury. Our client is flexible on your location at the sites and will look to offer some Hybrid working.
There is a great package on offer: Salary of up to £60,000 plus Car Plus 10% Bonus, OTE £66,000 depending on experience.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting & Control
Review, reconcile and finalise monthly balance sheets across all assigned sites.
Review and finalise monthly management accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with Group accounting policies.
Ensure all month-end reporting deadlines are met.
Maintain strong financial controls and governance across the region.
Oversee the preparation and submission of VAT returns.Payroll & Accrual Management
Review and approve monthly payroll submissions.
Prepare and review payroll journals.
Ensure payroll accruals are accurately calculated and accounted for.
Review and manage expense accruals and provisions.Working Capital Management
Conduct regular debtor reviews and ensure prompt resolution of aged debt.
Monitor working capital performance and identify opportunities for cash flow improvements.
Maintain strong balance sheet control and accountability.Performance Analysis & Reporting
Produce and present weekly and monthly KPI reports.
Deliver comprehensive financial performance analysis to identify risks and opportunities.
Lead Weekly Business Review (WBR) meetings from a finance perspective.
Provide insightful commentary on trading performance and financial results.
Investigate variances and support operational teams in driving profitability.Budgeting & Forecasting
Lead the annual budgeting process across all assigned sites.
Prepare periodic forecasts and reforecasts.
Challenge assumptions and provide recommendations to improve business performance.
Monitor performance against budget and forecast.Business Partnering
Act as a key finance contact for General Managers and departmental leaders.
Provide commercial support and guidance to operational management teams.
Support strategic decision-making through financial insight and analysis.
Build strong relationships across the region to promote financial accountability and performance improvement.Team Leadership
Manage, develop and motivate a team of five finance professionals.
Conduct regular one-to-one meetings and performance reviews.
Identify training and development opportunities for team members.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and high performance.
Provide coaching and mentoring to develop technical and commercial finance skills.
