EC&I Inspector – Renfrew
We’re recruiting on behalf of a major engineering company with decades of experience delivering large-scale projects across the UK. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced EC&I Inspector to join their team in Renfrew, ensuring compliance, quality and technical excellence in electrical, control and instrumentation inspections.
Salary
£40.00–£50.00 per hour
Location and Working Pattern
Based in Renfrew, 4 days per week.

Responsibilities
Identify and interpret client inspection and testing requirements
Complete both on-site and off-site inspections to confirm compliance and quality
Review and interpret technical drawings and design documentation
Evaluate subcontractor proposals and inspection reports in line with project deliverables
Work in accordance with British (BS), European (EN), site-specific and other regulatory standards
Liaise with clients, subcontractors and internal project management teams
Conduct, witness, and document inspection and testing activities
Record, interpret and report on test data with accuracy
Participate in site meetings, reviews and reporting processes
Review and approve supplier inspection packs for completeness and qualityMust-have Requirements
Strong background in an EC&I or electrical discipline
Qualified to City & Guilds Level 3 Award in Initial and Periodic Inspection and Testing of Electrical Installations (2391-52) or City & Guilds 2391-10 Level 3 Certificate in Inspection, Testing and Certification of Electrical Installations
18th Edition Wiring Regulations preferred.
Demonstrated experience in inspection and testing within engineering or industrial environments
Awareness of multi-discipline engineering practices and coordination requirements
Competence in computer-based planning and reporting systems
Understanding of regulatory standards and inspection proceduresNice-to-have Skills
Experience within regulated sectors such as nuclear, energy or infrastructure
Familiarity with project documentation control systems
