Our client is seeking a reliable and hardworking Warehouse Operative to join their team. This is a varied, hands-on role combining driving, warehouse operations, stock management and customer-facing responsibilities. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe transportation and handling of high-value items, maintaining warehouse organisation and supporting the smooth day-to-day running of operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Safely loading, transporting and unloading high-value items using a company vehicle.

Carrying out deliveries, collections and installations whilst maintaining excellent customer service standards.

Logging incoming and outgoing stock and maintaining accurate inventory records.

Liaising with colleagues regarding damaged, missing or delayed items and ensuring stock records remain up to date.

Organising and maintaining warehouse stock, ensuring items are stored safely and efficiently.

Assisting with stock movements, inventory checks and the preparation of goods for dispatch.

Completing delivery paperwork, mileage records and other administrative tasks accurately.

Carrying out routine vehicle checks and reporting any maintenance issues.

Arranging additional transport where required to meet operational needs.

Supporting the wider team to ensure daily operations run smoothly and efficiently.
Experience and Skills Requirements

Full UK Driving Licence with a clean driving record.

Previous experience driving medium-sized vans.
Physically fit and capable of safely moving and handling heavy items.

Sound mechanical knowledge is essential, with the ability to carry out basic vehicle checks and identify potential maintenance issues.

Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.

Previous warehouse, logistics or stock management experience would be advantageous.

Basic IT skills, including Microsoft Office and email systems.

Ability to learn new inventory management software and systems.

Professional, reliable and trustworthy approach to work.

Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team.

Good problem-solving skills and ability to work calmly under pressure.
