CareerMakers Recruitment are working with a well-established manufacturing business in Accrington who are looking to appoint an experienced Sales Administrator to support their busy commercial team.
This is a varied position combining sales administration with account management responsibilities. You will act as a key point of contact for customers, ensuring a smooth process from enquiry through to delivery, while building strong, long-term relationships.
The Role
As Sales Administrator, you will provide comprehensive support to the sales function while taking ownership to ensure full compliance with UK regulations. You will act as a central link between sales, purchasing, production, and external regulatory bodies.
Key Responsibilities

Manage a portfolio of customer accounts, acting as the main point of contact

Process sales orders accurately and efficiently

Prepare and follow up on quotations

Liaise with production, logistics, and procurement teams to ensure timely delivery

Handle customer enquiries, resolving issues promptly and professionally

Maintain accurate records on CRM/ERP systems

Support external sales managers with customer updates and reporting

Monitor stock levels and delivery schedules
Systems & Stock Management

Develop working knowledge of the MRP system (currently using 123 Insight)

Assist with stock level monitoring based on sales forecasts and customer demand

Support cross-departmental communication between sales, engineering, and operations
General Office Support

Assist with ad hoc administrative duties

Provide support to engineering when required

Coordinate with contractors regarding repairs and maintenance
Qualifications/Experience

Relevant experience within an SME manufacturing facility preferred

Previous experience in a sales/administrator role
About You

You will have:

Previous experience in a sales administration, internal sales, or account management role

Experience within manufacturing, engineering, or a product-based environment preferred

Strong organisational and multitasking skills

Excellent communication and customer service abilities

Good IT skills (Excel, CRM/ERP systems such as SAP or Salesforce desirable)

Proactive and able to work both independently and as part of a team
Working Hours: -
Monday - Thursday, 7:45am - 4:15pm
Friday, 7:45am - 1:45pm
Pay rate: £14.36
