We are looking for a supportive, compassionate and proactive Mental Health Assistant to help students manage emotional challenges and develop the confidence to succeed. You will play an important role in promoting positive mental health and creating a safe, inclusive environment where students feel heard, valued and supported.
Key responsibilities
Provide day-to-day emotional and wellbeing support to students.
Build positive professional relationships and encourage open communication.
Help students develop healthy coping strategies, confidence and emotional resilience.
Support individual wellbeing plans and appropriate activities.
Identify changes in behaviour or wellbeing and report concerns to the relevant staff.
Work collaboratively with teachers, pastoral teams, families and external professionals where appropriate.
Maintain accurate records and follow confidentiality and safeguarding procedures.What we offer
