Sphere Solutions are recruiting for a Contracts Planner to join an established building maintenance, refurbishment and retrofit provider delivering services across social housing, public-sector and commercial properties.

The Role
As Contracts Planner, you will coordinate and schedule planned and reactive maintenance works, ensuring operatives and contractors are deployed efficiently and jobs are completed safely, on time and in line with contractual requirements.
You will work closely with contract managers, surveyors, engineers, clients and site teams to maintain service standards and support the smooth running of day-to-day operations.
Key Responsibilities

Plan, schedule and allocate planned and reactive maintenance works.

Coordinate operatives, subcontractors, materials, equipment and site access.

Monitor job progress against deadlines, KPIs and service-level agreements.

Liaise with clients, property managers, contractors and site representatives.

Manage urgent and emergency maintenance requests.

Maintain accurate job records, schedules and contractor information.

Track performance data and support contract reporting.

Identify delays, resolve scheduling issues and escalate concerns where necessary.

Ensure works are coordinated around site restrictions and building operations.

Support continuous improvements in service delivery and operational efficiency.
About You
The successful candidate will have:

Experience in planning, scheduling or coordination, ideally within construction, facilities management or property maintenance.

An understanding of planned and reactive maintenance.

Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.

Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills.

Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office and scheduling or job-management systems.

Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.

An understanding of health and safety and statutory compliance requirements.
Experience with CAFM systems, KPI reporting and commercial or non-domestic property maintenance would be advantageous.
