Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of secured work, we are looking to recruit an experienced Fire Door Installer to join a well-established contractor delivering refurbishment, retrofit, building safety and compliance projects across South Wales.
Working across social housing, residential and public sector properties, you will be responsible for the installation, replacement and upgrading of fire doors as part of wider planned maintenance, refurbishment and fire safety programmes.
This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled installer looking for long-term, stable work with a business that has secured projects throughout the region and a strong reputation for delivering high-quality compliance and refurbishment works.
The Role

Installation and replacement of certified fire doorsets.

Fire door upgrade, remediation and maintenance works.

Installation and adjustment of fire-rated ironmongery.

Ensuring all works comply with current fire safety regulations, project specifications and manufacturer guidance.

Completing installation records and compliance documentation accurately.

Carrying out quality checks and maintaining high standards of workmanship.

Working within occupied residential properties, communal areas and public buildings.

Supporting wider building safety, refurbishment and retrofit programmes where required.
Essential Requirements

Proven experience installing and upgrading fire doors.

Strong understanding of fire door compliance and passive fire protection principles.

NVQ Level 2 or above in Carpentry & Joinery, or equivalent trade qualification.

Valid CSCS Card.

Full UK Driving Licence.

Experience working within occupied properties and live environments.

Ability to produce work to a consistently high standard with excellent attention to detail.
Desirable Experience & Qualifications

FIRAS certification.

BM TRADA Fire Door Installation qualification.

Fire Door Inspection or Installation accreditation.

Experience working on social housing refurbishment, retrofit, planned maintenance or building safety projects.

Experience carrying out fire stopping and compartmentation works.

PASMA.
-
IPAF.
-
Asbestos Awareness.

Manual Handling.
