What You'll Be Doing
As a Document Controller, you'll help ensure that project information is accurate, accessible and managed in accordance with established document control processes.
Working within a team of approximately 5-6 Document Controllers and reporting to a Document Control Manager, your responsibilities will include:
·Managing document control queries
·Maintaining document management systems
·Ensuring data accuracy
·Supporting stakeholders
·Producing reports
·Delivering system training
·Supporting infrastructure delivery
You'll be expected to take ownership of your workload, communicate clearly and adapt to changing project priorities while following established document control procedures.
What You'll Need to Succeed
We're looking for someone with practical document control experience who is confident using digital systems and communicating with a wide range of stakeholders.
Essential experience and skills:
·Proven experience in document control, ideally gained within engineering, construction or major infrastructure projects.
·Practical experience using electronic document management systems (EDMS) to manage documentation, retrieve information and update metadata.
·Proven experience managing relationships with multiple stakeholders, including individuals at different levels of seniority.
·Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain processes, respond to queries and provide clear guidance to system users.
·Good IT literacy and confidence using computer-based systems, including Microsoft Office applications.
·The ability to manage competing requests, prioritise tasks and follow defined document control procedures.
Experience with one or more of the following systems would be particularly relevant:
·Enterprise Bridge (eB)
·Asset Lifecycle Information Management (ALIM)
·AssetWise
·Asite
·Business Collaborator
Experience with comparable enterprise document management systems will also be considered.
You'll be particularly well suited to this role if you can provide specific examples of how you've worked with stakeholders, managed their expectations, resolved information-related queries or supported colleagues in using document management systems.
