Job Description:
Our client, a leading organisation in children's residential care, is seeking an experienced Responsible Individual to provide strategic and operational leadership across residential children’s homes in Leicestershire. This role offers a unique opportunity to influence culture, strengthen practice, and ensure the homes are safe, nurturing, and aligned with best practice principles grounded in Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy (DDP) and PACE.
Key Responsibilities:
As the Responsible Individual, your daily duties will include:

Providing leadership and oversight for four children’s homes, ensuring high standards of care and compliance.

Driving quality improvement initiatives to achieve Outstanding inspection ratings.

Embedding trauma-informed, attachment-focused practice across all teams and settings.
-
Leading on safeguarding, regulatory compliance, and safeguarding culture.

Mentoring and supporting Registered Managers to develop their leadership capabilities.

Promoting a child-centred approach, championing the voice of children and relational practice.

Building effective partnerships with internal teams and external agencies to enhance service delivery.

Modelling reflective, compassionate, and trauma-informed leadership.
Requirements & Qualifications:
To be successful as a Responsible Individual, you will need:

Significant leadership experience in residential childcare.

A Level 5 qualification (or equivalent) in Leadership and Management.

Strong understanding of regulatory requirements across residential settings.

Proven experience in supporting and improving multiple sites/services.

Emotional resilience, reflective capacity, and clarity of purpose.

A passion for helping children feel safer, more hopeful, and more connected.
