We are looking for an experienced and proactive HR Business Partner to join our People Team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a commercially minded HR professional who enjoys building strong relationships, influencing leaders, and driving positive organisational change.
About The Role
As HR Business Partner, you will partner with operational leaders across our education services, providing expert HR advice and support on a wide range of employee relations, organisational development and people management matters.
You will play a key role in delivering our People Plan, leading strategic HR projects, supporting organisational change, and ensuring our people policies and practices remain compliant, effective and aligned to best practice.
This is a highly visible role requiring a confident HR professional who can coach and influence managers, resolve complex employee relations matters, and contribute to the continued growth and success of the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
Support the implementation of the People Plan, ensuring alignment with organisational objectives.
Provide pragmatic and commercially focused HR advice to managers and leaders.
Ensure HR policies and procedures remain compliant with employment legislation and best practice.
Lead and deliver key HR projects and business integrations.
Develop and deliver HR training for managers and operational teams.
Support and lead organisational change initiatives, including restructures, reorganisations and TUPE transfers.
Manage and oversee complex employee relations cases including disciplinary, grievance, capability and absence management matters.
Monitor and manage suspension and investigation processes, ensuring timely and consistent outcomes.
Develop robust performance management practices that recognise success and support development.
Produce, analyse and present meaningful HR data and management information to support business decision-making.
Identify workforce trends and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
Build strong relationships with stakeholders across the organisation and external partners, including employment law providers.
Provide day-to-day operational HR support across designated divisions.
Line manage and mentor HR Officers, supporting their professional development and performance.
Provide guidance and support to HR Assistants when required.
Oversee HR and compliance training content, ensuring materials remain current and effective.
Attend Senior Leadership Team meetings and Service Improvement Plan (SIP) calls.
Conduct regular site visits, audits and compliance reviews.
Deputise for the Director of HR & Resourcing when required.About You
We are looking for someone who has:
CIPD Level 5 qualification (Level 7 desirable) or equivalent experience.
Significant experience in a generalist HR Business Partner or Senior HR Advisor role.
Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.
Experience managing complex employee relations cases.
Experience supporting organisational change and transformation projects.
Excellent coaching, influencing and stakeholder management skills.
Strong analytical and reporting capabilities.
Experience working in education, healthcare, social care or a multi-site environment would be advantageous.
