Packaging Designer / Creative Artworker
Location: Bradford (Hybrid or Fully Remote Working)

Role: We're looking for an experienced Packaging Adaptive Designer to join our clients team in Bradford.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who combines the creativity of a designer with the technical expertise of an artworker. You’ll be a confident, passionate designer with a strong eye for detail and a genuine love of packaging.
We’re looking for someone who sits right in the middle of Design and Artwork – not too heavily weighted towards either discipline.
The successful candidate needs to have the technical rigour and attention to detail of an experienced artworker, but with the ability to step outside of a conventional artwork mindset and think creatively.
You should be comfortable taking an established creative concept and developing, adapting and evolving it across a range, rather than simply executing what has been supplied.

Bring creative flair and judgement to adaptations

Build on and develop existing illustrations and graphic assets

Make intelligent creative decisions when adapting designs across different formats, pack sizes and products

Understand the original creative intent and protect it as the range develops

Recognise when something isn't visually working and have the confidence and ability to improve it

Balance creativity with the technical accuracy and consistency required for packaging artwork.
Requirements:

Food packaging experience is essential

Candidates who have spent a few years working specifically within food/FMCG packaging

Portfolios that demonstrate both strong technical artwork capability and creative adaptation

US experience would be a bonus

The sweet spot is someone who can be handed a strong piece of master creative and trusted to take it, understand it and creatively roll it out across a complex packaging range without needing every design decision made for them.
