Financial Controller
Location: Hybrid Salary: £42208 - £46208 pro rata per annum depending on experience.
Berry Recruitment are currently recruiting for an experienced Financial Controller to join a purpose-driven organisation and take responsibility for the effective day-to-day management of the finance function.
This is a senior position working closely with the Senior Leadership Team and Board, providing financial insight and supporting strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the day-to-day finance function, including accounts payable, receivable, payroll and reconciliations.
Prepare monthly management accounts, financial reports and analysis.
Lead budgeting, forecasting and cash-flow management.
Monitor financial performance, identifying risks, trends and opportunities.
Provide financial insight to support strategic and operational decision-making.
Develop financial models and support long-term financial planning.
Lead the annual accounts and audit process.
Ensure statutory and regulatory financial reporting requirements are met.
Oversee grant/restricted income and associated financial reporting.
Maintain robust financial controls, policies and procedures.
Support senior leadership and Board reporting and decision-making.
Manage relationships with auditors, banks, pension providers and other external stakeholders.About You
We are looking for a qualified and experienced finance professional with:
ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent qualification.
Strong experience across financial management, management accounts, budgeting and forecasting.
Experience within a charity, not-for-profit or similar environment is desirable.
Excellent analytical, organisational and problem-solving skills.
Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail.
Advanced Excel and good Microsoft Office skills.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work confidently with senior stakeholders.
