ABOUT THE SCHOOL
Prospero Teaching is working with a supportive specialist school in West Drayton looking for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team.
The school supports pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, alongside additional learning and behavioural needs. Staff work closely together to create a positive, nurturing environment where pupils can build confidence, develop key life skills, and achieve their full potential.
This is an excellent opportunity for a compassionate and resilient individual with experience supporting children or young people with additional needs.
CONTRACT DETAILS
Location - West Drayton (UB7)
Position - SEN Teaching Assistant
Type of work - Supporting pupils with SEMH needs
Start date - ASAP
Duration - Long-term
Contract type - Temporary to Permanent
Full time - Monday to Friday
Minimum rate of pay - Negotiable depending on experience
Hours - 8:30am to 4:00pm
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS
Previous experience working with children or young people with SEMH, SEN, autism, ADHD, or challenging behaviour is desirable
Experience within schools, alternative provisions, youth work, care settings, or support work welcomed
Relevant qualifications are beneficial but not essential
Up-to-date Safeguarding training is desirable
TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:
Hold Right to Work in the UK
Hold an enhanced DBS on the Update Service or be willing to obtain one
Provide two professional references covering the last two years
