About the role
Seeking a qualified, patient‑focused Ultrasound Sonographer for part‑time, full‑time, or sessional work. Suitable for candidates from NHS, private practice, or other clinics looking for additional sessions or a regular position. Flexible hours available (daytime, evening, weekends).
Scope of Practice:

Obstetric: Early pregnancy, dating, reassurance, gender, growth, 3D/4D scans

General: Abdominal, pelvic, renal, thyroid, testicular, soft tissue
-
MSK: Tendon, ligament, muscle, joint, soft tissue assessments
-
Fertility: Follicle tracking, endometrial lining, IVF cycle monitoring
Key Responsibilities:

Perform safe, high‑quality ultrasound examinations independently

Produce accurate reports and maintain clinical records
-
Communicate findings appropriately and escalate concerns
-
Deliver compassionate, patient‑centred care
-
Comply with infection prevention, safeguarding, and health & safety standards
Essential Requirements:

Relevant professional registration
-
Current ultrasound experience and evidence of competency
-
Ability to perform and report independently
-
Strong reporting/documentation skills
-
Excellent communication and patient‑care skills

Right to work in the UK
Desirable:

Competence in both obstetric and general ultrasound

MSK and fertility/IVF experience
-
NHS/private clinic background

Membership of professional bodies

Flexibility for varied sessions
Working Pattern: Part‑time, full‑time, evening, daytime, or weekend sessions. Flexible scheduling as demand grows.
Documentation Required: Qualifications, registration details, competency evidence, CPD records, indemnity cover, DBS check, ID, right‑to‑work proof, references, and mandatory training certificates.
