We are recruiting for an experienced Early Years Practitioner to join a small, well-established Ofsted-rated Good setting in Newham.
The standout benefit of this opportunity is the term-time only working pattern, giving you the school holidays off whilst allowing you to continue developing your career within Early Years. For those who would like additional hours, there is also the option to work during the holidays through the setting’s holiday clubs and HAF programmes.
The setting provides a warm and welcoming environment for children from 2 years old through to school age and has been rated Good across all areas by Ofsted.
You will be:

Providing high-quality care and education for children from 2 years through to school age

Supporting engaging and age-appropriate activities in line with the EYFS

Creating a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment where children can learn and develop

Supporting children’s individual learning, development and wellbeing

Building positive relationships with children and their families

Completing observations and contributing to assessments of children’s progress

Encouraging children’s confidence, independence and learning through play

Maintaining high standards of safeguarding, health and safety and professional practice

Working collaboratively with colleagues to provide consistent, high-quality Early Years provision
The successful candidate will have previous Early Years experience and a good understanding of the EYFS, safeguarding and child development. We are looking for someone warm, reliable and enthusiastic who genuinely enjoys supporting children’s learning and development.
Pay: £12.71–£15.81 per hour, depending on qualification and experience
Working pattern: Term-time only
Holidays: School holidays off
Additional hours: Optional work available through holiday clubs and HAF programmes
Setting: Small, Ofsted-rated Good Early Years setting
Location: Newham, with good transport links
