An independent and growing health, safety and fire consultancy is looking to appoint an experienced Health, Safety and Fire Consultant to join their specialist team.
The successful Health, Safety and Fire Consultant will take on a varied, client-facing position, working predominantly across residential developments and higher-risk buildings. This is an excellent opportunity for a Health, Safety and Fire Consultant who enjoys building strong client relationships while delivering practical, proportionate advice.
The Role
The Health, Safety and Fire Consultant will support property owners, managing agents and other stakeholders with a broad range of health, safety and fire compliance services.
Typical responsibilities will include:
Undertaking fire risk assessments across residential and higher-risk buildings
Providing health and safety inspections, audits and compliance reviews
Advising clients on fire safety, building safety and health and safety obligations
Producing clear reports, action plans and practical recommendations
Supporting clients with ongoing compliance and risk management
Attending client meetings and developing strong working relationships
Keeping up to date with relevant legislation, guidance and industry standards
The Health, Safety and Fire Consultant
The successful Health, Safety and Fire Consultant will ideally have:
NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent health and safety qualification
A recognised fire safety or fire risk assessment qualification
Experience carrying out fire risk assessments within residential buildings
Knowledge of higher-risk buildings and current building safety requirements
Strong report-writing and communication skills
Confidence working directly with clients and managing their own workload
Full UK driving licence
