Recruited UK are supporting a leading employment and skills organisation with the recruitment of an Employer Engagement Consultant to support a programme helping young people aged 18–24 gain valuable work experience and move into sustainable employment.
The role will focus on building relationships with employers, generating vacancies and matching candidates to suitable employment opportunities.
The Role
As an Employer Engagement Consultant, you will take a proactive approach to developing employer relationships and creating new employment opportunities for candidates.
Your responsibilities will include:

Developing new employer relationships and generating vacancies.

Identifying and pursuing new business and employer engagement opportunities.

Building strong relationships with employers, stakeholders and partner organisations.

Attending employer meetings, networking events and stakeholder events.

Understanding employers' recruitment and workforce development requirements.

Sourcing suitable vacancies and matching candidates to opportunities.
-
Using direct sales and reverse marketing techniques to generate opportunities.

Arranging interviews and coordinating recruitment activity.

Working closely with candidates and Employment Advisors throughout the recruitment process.

Gathering employer feedback following candidate submissions and interviews.

Maintaining accurate records and updating management information systems.

Working towards challenging sales targets and KPIs.

Ensuring all activity complies with relevant procedures and data protection requirements.
About You
We are looking for an experienced sales, recruitment, business development or employer engagement professional who enjoys building relationships and achieving results.
You will ideally have:

Previous experience working towards challenging sales targets and KPIs.

Strong business development and networking skills.

Experience building relationships with employers and decision-makers.

Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

The ability to identify and secure new business opportunities.

A good understanding of recruitment, employment or training services.

Knowledge of the local labour market and recruitment methods.

Strong organisational and time management skills.

Good IT skills, including CRM/management information systems, spreadsheets, email and diary management.

A proactive, confident and target-driven approach.

A genuine interest in helping people access employment opportunities.
