Join a Growing Fit-Out Contractor with a Clear Route to Senior Estimator
We are recruiting for an Assistant Estimator ready to take the next step, or an Estimator looking to join a busy and growing commercial fit-out contractor delivering high-quality workplace and office refurbishment projects across the North West.
Working closely with the Director and wider commercial team, you will play a pivotal role in the pre-construction process, pricing projects, producing detailed take-offs, managing subcontractor enquiries and submitting competitive tenders for a range of office fit-out projects.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who can hit the ground running and wants genuine career progression towards Senior Estimator level.
The Role
You will be responsible for supporting and managing the estimating function across multiple projects, including:
Producing detailed quantity take-offs from drawings and specifications.
Preparing accurate cost estimates and tender submissions.
Sending subcontractor and supplier enquiries.
Reviewing quotations and negotiating costs.
Assisting with procurement of materials and specialist subcontractors.
Providing commercial support during the pre-construction phase.
Liaising with clients, suppliers and project teams throughout the tender process.
Assisting with valuations, orders and payment-related activities where required.
Identifying value engineering opportunities.
Contributing to successful project handovers to delivery teams.
About You
We are keen to speak with candidates who have experience within commercial fit-out, office refurbishment or interior construction projects.
Ideally, you will have:
Previous experience as an Assistant Estimator or Estimator.
Strong estimating and tendering experience within construction or fit-out.
Experience producing take-offs and pricing works independently.
Good understanding of subcontractor procurement and supply chain management.
Commercial awareness and cost management skills.
Strong communication and negotiation abilities.
A proactive approach and the confidence to manage tenders with minimal supervision.
What Success Looks Like
Within your first 6-12 months, you will be confidently managing and tendering projects independently, taking ownership of enquiries from receipt through to submission.
