We are seeking a highly experienced Workshop Controller to join a reputable main dealer in Barnstaple, overseeing a busy service operation. This is an excellent Workshop Controller opportunity for a skilled motor trade professional looking to advance into a management role that emphasises leadership, coordination, and operational excellence. The successful Workshop Controller will play a vital part in maintaining high standards within the workshop and ensuring efficient service delivery.
Benefits:
Competitive salary of up to £35,000, with OTE of up to £40,000 based on performance.
Monday to Friday working hours, approximately 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Responsible for workshop operations, job allocation, parts, and health & safety compliance.
Support the MOT testing process and oversee various workshop activities.Duties:
Manage daily workshop operations, ensuring workflow efficiency and high service standards.
Coordinate technicians and service advisors to maximise productivity.
Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction and foster a positive team environment.
Assist with training and developing team members to improve overall workshop performance.
Oversee job allocation, parts ordering, and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
Support MOT testing and other workshop activities to ensure smooth operations.Requirements:
Proven experience in a supervisory or managerial role within a motor trade workshop.
Strong leadership and communication skills.
Ability to organise and motivate a team effectively.
Professional approach with excellent customer service skills.
Flexibility to work Monday to Friday during standard hours.
