Employment Advisor
Location: Greater Manchester
Salary: Up to £32,000 per annum
Contract: Permanent, Full-Time
Hours: Monday to Friday
Recruited UK have an amazing opportunity and are currently supporting a leading employment and skills organisation in the recruitment of an experienced Employment Advisor to support unemployed individuals into employment, training and education.
This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who enjoys working closely with people, identifying barriers and providing practical support to help individuals move closer to sustainable employment.
The Role:
As an Employment Advisor, you will manage a caseload of customers and provide tailored advice, guidance and employability support through both one-to-one and group-based interventions.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Completing initial assessments, inductions and regular customer reviews.
- Providing one-to-one and group employability support.
- Identifying individual barriers to employment and creating appropriate action plans.
- Supporting customers with CV preparation, job searching and applications.
- Helping customers identify suitable employment, training and education opportunities.
- Developing strong relationships with customers through face-to-face, telephone, email and digital contact.
- Referring customers to relevant internal and external support services.
- Working with employers, colleges, training providers, Jobcentre Plus and other partner organisations.
- Delivering employability workshops and group sessions.
- Maintaining accurate customer records and management information.
- Monitoring customer progress and working towards agreed targets and KPIs.
- Preparing and developing resources to support customer learning.
- Identifying and reporting any safeguarding concerns appropriately.
About You
We are looking for someone with previous experience within employment and skills, recruitment, sales or customer service, ideally with experience supporting people towards employment.
You will need:
- Experience of working towards targets and KPIs.
- Excellent communication and rapport-building skills.
- Strong organisation and time management.
- Confidence working with individuals from a range of backgrounds.
- Good knowledge of recruitment methods and the local labour market.
- Strong IT and administration skills.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A flexible and proactive approach.
- The confidence to challenge, negotiate and motivate customers.
- A genuine interest in helping people overcome barriers and progress into employment.
