Welder Fabricator
We are seeking an experienced Welder Fabricator to join our team in a varied and hands-on role supporting the marine industry. You will be responsible for manufacturing and fabricating a wide range of bespoke products, components and assemblies, working from engineering drawings and specifications to deliver high-quality finished products. Previous aluminium welding and fabrication experience is essential.
Key Responsibilities
Perform welding tasks using MIG, TIG and ARC welding techniques.
Fabricate metal components and structures from engineering drawings and specifications.
Manufacture a wide range of bespoke products, components and assemblies for the marine sector.
Prepare materials through cutting, grinding, cleaning and finishing processes.
Inspect welded joints and fabricated components to ensure quality standards are met.
Maintain welding equipment and tools, carrying out routine inspections and minor maintenance.
Adhere to all health, safety and environmental procedures.
Work closely with engineers, fabricators and supervisors to ensure projects are completed on time.
Troubleshoot fabrication and welding issues, identifying practical solutions.
Complete job records and material usage documentation accurately.Requirements
Proven experience as a Welder Fabricator.
Aluminium welding and fabrication experience is essential.
Minimum 3 years' MIG welding experience preferred.
Minimum 3 years' fabrication experience preferred.
Competent in MIG, TIG and ARC welding processes.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints and welding symbols.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
Good understanding of health and safety requirements within a manufacturing environment.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Physically capable of lifting, bending and standing for extended periods.
Full UK Driving Licence essential.
Relevant welding/fabrication qualifications or certifications would be advantageous.Salary & Benefits
£17.50 - £19.50/h DOE (Approx.£36,400 - £40,560 per annum)
Monday to Friday, 07:30 - 16:30
Regular overtime available
Up to 10 hours overtime per week at x1.5 rate (Approx.£26.25 - £29.25/h)

21 days annual leave plus Bank Holidays
Annual Christmas shutdown of approximately 2 weeks (of which Annual leave will be needed to use for)
