Location: Portsmouth (hybrid, 2 days from home)
Salary: £45,000 – £55,000 + up to 10% bonus

Transport Planner – Independent Consultancy – Portsmouth
Are you a Transport Planner looking for varied, meaningful projects and real flexibility? Our client is an independent Transport Planning and Infrastructure Design Consultancy that improves the built and natural environment. They're looking for a Transport Planner to join their transport and infrastructure team.
They work across a wide range of sectors, including residential, health, education, retail, energy, civils and commercial, so no two projects are the same.
The role

Get involved in every stage of a project, from planning through to design and delivery

Contribute to and manage a portfolio of complex, interesting projects

Advise clients and build strong working relationships with them

Work closely with the wider transport and infrastructure team
About you

Degree-level qualification or equivalent
-
At least 2 years' transport planning experience

Working towards membership of a professional body (e.g. CIHT or TPS) is desirable

Working knowledge of relevant design guidance and local planning policy

Experience using AutoCAD, TRICS and transport modelling software

Confident with Microsoft Office and other computer-based systems

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Able to prioritise your workload and work well in a team and on your own initiative
