Hydrological Advisor
£32,000 | Perth & Kinross | Permanent | Site-Based
We are recruiting on behalf of a leading civil engineering contractor for an experienced Hydrological Advisor to join a major infrastructure project in Perth & Kinross.
This is a site-based role supporting the environmental and engineering teams with hydrological advice, water management, monitoring and regulatory compliance throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities

Provide hydrological input across design and construction activities.

Support flood risk, drainage, catchment and water management assessments.

Oversee water quality monitoring, data analysis and reporting.

Advise on stormwater, groundwater and pollution prevention measures.

Ensure compliance with environmental legislation, permits and project requirements.

Carry out regular site inspections and support environmental incident investigations.

Work closely with engineers, environmental teams, site management and external stakeholders.
Requirements

3+ years’ experience in a similar environmental or hydrological role within construction or civil engineering.

Relevant qualification in Hydrology, Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Water Resources or similar.

Experience in water quality monitoring, drainage and construction-phase water management.

Knowledge of flood risk assessments and hydrological modelling.

Valid CSCS card.

Full UK manual driving licence.

Strong communication, reporting and IT skills.
