PE Teacher – SEMH School, Nuneaton
Colmore Education is currently recruiting for an enthusiastic, resilient and passionate PE Teacher to join a specialist SEMH school in Nuneaton.
This is an exciting opportunity for a PE Teacher who is passionate about using sport and physical education to engage pupils, build confidence and support positive behaviour. The successful candidate will be working with pupils who may have Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, alongside a range of additional learning and behavioural needs.
The Role
As a PE Teacher, you will:

Plan and deliver engaging and inclusive PE lessons.

Teach pupils across a range of abilities and age groups.

Adapt lessons to meet individual pupils' educational, emotional and behavioural needs.

Use sport and physical activity to promote confidence, teamwork and positive behaviour.

Build strong, positive relationships with pupils.

Support pupils who may display challenging behaviour or have difficulties with emotional regulation.

Create a safe, structured and encouraging learning environment.

Monitor and assess pupil progress.

Work closely with teaching assistants, pastoral staff and the wider school team.

Encourage pupils to develop healthy lifestyles and positive attitudes towards physical activity.

Contribute to the wider life of the school through sporting activities and enrichment opportunities.

Experience working within an SEMH, SEN or alternative provision setting is desirable but not essential. Teachers with mainstream experience who are looking to develop their experience within specialist education are also encouraged to apply
