CMA Recruitment Group is delighted to be partnering with an international, privately owned product-based business to recruit a Finance Director for its EMEA and APAC operations. This is a newly created leadership role offering the opportunity to shape the future of the finance function while working closely with senior stakeholders across commercial, operational and executive teams.
With operations spanning the UK, Asia-Pacific and the Middle East, the business is at an exciting stage in its growth journey. Alongside continued expansion and acquisition activity, a major ERP implementation is underway, creating a rare opportunity for a commercially minded finance leader to influence strategy, modernise processes and help build a best-in-class finance function.
This is not a role for someone who wants to stay in their lane. The successful candidate will be a visible and influential member of the leadership team, combining strong financial stewardship with commercial insight, team development and business transformation expertise.
What will the Finance Director role involve?
Providing strategic and operational finance leadership across the EMEA and APAC regions, partnering closely with the CFO and wider leadership team
Leading and developing a UK-based finance team, creating a culture of accountability, coaching and continuous improvement
Acting as a trusted business partner to commercial and operational stakeholders, providing meaningful financial insight, challenge and support
Driving budgeting, forecasting, reporting, working capital management and performance analysis across multiple international entities
Supporting ongoing acquisition activity, including due diligence, integration and post-acquisition financial management
Playing a key role in a major ERP transformation programme, helping redesign processes, improve automation and embed modern technologies, including AI-enabled finance tools
Overseeing financial controls, statutory reporting, tax compliance and audit management across multiple jurisdictions
Building strong relationships with international colleagues through regular collaboration and occasional overseas travel
Suitable Candidate for the Finance Director vacancy:
Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with significant senior finance leadership experience at Financial Controller, Finance Director or equivalent level
Experience within a manufacturing, product-based, distribution, supply chain or logistics environment would be highly advantageous
Strong technical accounting and controllership background combined with a commercial mindset and the ability to influence decision making
A hands-on leader who enjoys operating in a dynamic, low-bureaucracy environment and is comfortable wearing multiple hats
Proven experience leading teams and developing people through coaching, mentoring and empowerment
Exposure to acquisitions, business transformation, ERP implementations and process improvement initiatives
Naturally collaborative with strong communication skills and the ability to build credibility across finance, commercial and operational teams
Curious, forward-thinking and interested in leveraging technology and AI to improve finance operations
