Axon Moore is delighted to be recruiting for a growing business in Central Manchester. Due to continued growth, we’re looking for an Accounts Assistant to join a successful and expanding finance team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an Accounts Assistant who is looking to take the next step in their career and build on their existing finance experience. The role will initially focus on core transactional finance duties, with a clear pathway to gain greater exposure across Management Accounts as you develop.
The business is going through an exciting period of growth and is looking for someone who is keen to learn, develop and take on additional responsibility over time. Salary: £28,000

Main duties:
Processing purchase and sales invoices accurately and efficiently.
Supporting the Purchase Ledger and Sales Ledger functions.
Reconciling supplier and customer accounts.
Assisting with bank and balance sheet reconciliations.
Processing payments and maintaining accurate financial records.
Assisting with month-end processes and ensuring deadlines are met.
Supporting the wider Finance team with transactional and administrative duties.
Investigating and resolving discrepancies and queries.
Assisting with the preparation of Management Accounts as experience develops.
Taking on additional duties and responsibilities as part of your progression within the team.
Person specification:
Previous experience within a finance / accounts environment is essential. You may be a graduate with initial experience or have already 1 year of experience.
Good understanding of core transactional finance processes.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
Good communication skills and the confidence to work with both internal and external stakeholders.
Proactive approach with the ability to use your own initiative.
Keen to learn and develop their finance knowledge.
Ideally studying towards, or interested in working towards, an AAT or further finance qualification.
Ambitious and motivated to progress into a broader accounting role.
