Prepper / Polisher
Location: Nuneaton
Hours: Double day shifts, 37 hours per week
Salary: £29,250 to £31,500 per annum

Purpose
We are looking for an experienced Prepper / Polisher to join a busy Paint Shop environment. The successful candidate will ideally have experience within an aerospace, automotive or manufacturing environment, with experience working with carbon fibre parts being advantageous.
Responsibilities

Prepare various substrates ready for primer.

Prepare primer ready for topcoat.

Carry out masking and component preparation prior to painting.

Prepare and mount components prior to painting.

Use filler to address pinholes, voids and shapes.

Polish gloss finish components to a high standard.

Produce high-quality parts in line with customer requirements.

Follow work instructions and quality standards.

Ensure hazardous and non-hazardous waste is disposed of correctly.

Keep the work area clean and tidy.

Wear the required PPE and follow all company health and safety procedures.
Skills and Experience
-
Previous experience in a preparation, polishing, paint shop, body shop or similar manufacturing environment.

Experience preparing components for painting.

Experience preparing carbon fibre parts would be advantageous.

Good hand skills and a strong eye for detail.

Automotive model development or body shop / paint shop experience would be desirable.
