Penguin Recruitment is proud to be partnering with a well-established, expanding planning consultancy with a strong UK-wide footprint. They are seeking an Associate Town Planner / Associate Partner to strengthen their team.
The consultancy handles a wide spectrum of planning work, offering strategic planning and development advice to clients that include landowners, developers and private individuals.
This is a great opening for an experienced planner ready to take on more responsibility, work more closely with clients and follow a clear path to partnership.
The Role
As an Associate Town Planner / Associate Partner, you will own a diverse portfolio of planning projects while nurturing and growing client relationships.
Your responsibilities will include:
Overseeing a varied caseload of projects, from initial instruction through to decision
Giving strategic planning advice to private clients, landowners and developers
Preparing and lodging planning applications
Leading planning appraisals and shaping development strategies
Drafting planning statements, representations and appeal submissions
Negotiating with local planning authorities on behalf of clients
Attending client meetings and carrying out site visits
