Your day-to-day role
As a Graduate SEN TA, you'll work closely with teachers and school staff to provide tailored support that helps pupils engage with learning and develop their confidence.
Your responsibilities could include:
Supporting pupils on a one-to-one basis and in small groups
Assisting with lessons, interventions and classroom activities
Encouraging independence, confidence and positive behaviour
Helping pupils overcome barriers to learning
Developing positive and trusting relationships with pupils
Working collaboratively with teachers and SEN professionals
Contributing to a welcoming, inclusive classroom environmentWhat we're looking for
The successful Graduate SEN TA will ideally have:
A degree in Psychology, Education, Sociology or a related subject
A genuine passion for working with children and young people
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Patience, enthusiasm and a flexible approach
A willingness to learn and develop professionally
