Experienced Commercial Plumber looking to come off the tools?
Fancy putting your technical knowledge to good use without spending every day on the tools?
We're looking for an experienced Water Remedials Consultant to join a growing team, taking responsibility for assessing remedial works, preparing quotations and scopes of work, and supporting the successful delivery of projects for clients across the UK.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who understands commercial water systems inside out and wants to move into a more technical, consultative role, combining their practical experience with estimating, client management and project coordination.
The Role
Assessing reports, site findings and client requirements to identify remedial works and recommend appropriate solutions.
Carrying out site visits where required to assess defects and determine the best course of action.
Preparing detailed scopes of work, quotations, estimates and RAMS.
Accurately assessing labour, materials, equipment, plant and subcontractor requirements to ensure works are commercially viable.
Providing technical guidance on remedial works involving cold water storage tanks, tank relining, pipework, TMVs, RPZ valves and water system disinfection.
Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, engineers and internal teams.
Identifying opportunities for additional remedial works and supporting the development of client accounts.
To be successful, you'll ideally have:
Strong practical knowledge of commercial hot and cold water systems.
Experience with commercial plumbing installations, maintenance or remedial works.
Knowledge of cold water storage tanks, tank relining, pipework, TMVs, RPZ valves and water system disinfection.
The ability to assess remedial requirements and identify practical, cost-effective solutions.
Experience preparing quotations, estimates, scopes of work and RAMS, or the technical ability to develop these skills.
An understanding of labour costs, materials and the commercial considerations involved in delivering remedial projects.
Relevant plumbing qualifications, such as NVQ Level 3 or equivalent, knowledge of Water Regulations/Water Byelaws and a full UK driving licence would be advantageous.
Why Make the Move?
If you're an experienced Commercial Plumber who knows their way around commercial water systems but is ready for a change, this could be exactly what you've been looking for.
Instead of carrying out every remedial job yourself, you'll be using your experience to assess problems, recommend solutions, price works and help coordinate their successful delivery.
Same industry knowledge. A different challenge. A potential next step in your career.
