This is a very rewarding role, involving playing a dual role within the setting, holding overall operational responsibility for child protection, safeguarding welfare, and Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). Ensuring all children are protected, supported and enabled to make the best progress in an inclusive, safe early years environment.

All you need is at least Level 3 Early Years Qualification, Early Years SENCO Qualification; Full Level 3 DSL Training.

At least 2 years experience in an early years setting with direct experience managing child protection cases and coordinating SEND provision.

In depth practical working knowledge of the EYFS, SEND Code of Practice, Working Together to Safeguard Children, and local multi-agency threshold guidelines
