We are currently recruiting for a Repairs Planner to join a Stockport-based housing team on a temporary-to-permanent basis.
This is an excellent opportunity for an organised and proactive individual looking to build a long-term career within a housing repairs environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in coordinating housing repairs from initial notification through to completion, with the opportunity to move into a permanent position following a successful temporary period.
You will manage incoming repair requests, arrange inspections and works, monitor progress and ensure outstanding actions are followed up within required timescales.
This is a busy, process-driven role suited to someone who is highly organised, proactive and confident managing multiple repairs, cases and deadlines.
Key Responsibilities of a Repairs Planner:
Manage the repairs inbox and coordinate incoming repair requests.
Raise repair jobs and schedule inspections and appointments.
Coordinate with inspectors, contractors, residents and internal housing teams.
Monitor repairs from initial report through to completion.
Support the team in ensuring cases are managed in line with Awaab’s Law requirements and statutory timescales.
Track outstanding jobs and proactively chase overdue inspections, works and actions.
Maintain accurate records and update systems to ensure cases are progressed and closed correctly.
Identify delays or issues within the repairs process and escalate where appropriate.
Ensure repairs are managed in line with relevant processes, service standards and statutory timescales.
Provide general administrative and coordination support to the housing repairs team.About You:
Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
Confident managing a busy workload and multiple deadlines.
Proactive in monitoring cases and following up outstanding actions.
Comfortable using databases, email inboxes and administrative systems.
A clear and confident communicator.
Reliable and able to work consistently from the office.
Experienced in administration, repairs coordination, housing or a similar process-driven environment.
Ideally experienced within a local authority or social housing environment, although this is not essential.
Willing to learn about damp and mould, Awaab’s Law and housing repairs processes.Contract & Working Hours:
