Our client is seeking a Streetworks Inspector for a contract role in London. The position will involve inspecting streetworks activities, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and supporting the effective management of works across the highway network.
Key Responsibilities:
Carrying out inspections of streetworks across the highway network
Monitoring works to ensure compliance with relevant streetworks legislation, permits and specifications
Identifying defects, non-compliance and safety issues, taking appropriate follow-up action
Recording inspection findings accurately and maintaining clear documentation
Liaising with contractors, utility companies and internal highways teams
Supporting the delivery of safe, efficient and well-managed highway works
Job Requirements:
Previous experience working for a highway authority
Practical experience carrying out streetworks inspections
Strong understanding of streetworks processes, compliance requirements and highway safety
Ability to assess works on site and identify defects or breaches of requirements
Confident communication skills when dealing with contractors and utility companies
Accurate record-keeping and report-writing abilities
Ability to work independently and hit the ground running in a busy highways environment
NRSWA supervisor certificate
