A well-established engineering business in Poole is looking for an experienced CNC Miller to join its skilled manufacturing team. The role involves working across 3, 4 and 5-axis CNC milling, producing complex precision components to high standards.
This is a great opportunity for a skilled machinist who enjoys a varied role involving setting, operating, programming and process improvement, with a 4-day working week.
The Role
As a CNC Miller, you will be responsible for:
Setting and operating 3, 4 and 5-axis CNC milling machines.
Producing complex, high-precision components.
Editing and creating CNC programmes where required.
Working from detailed engineering drawings and specifications.
Using Edgecam and Fusion 360.
Selecting appropriate tooling and work-holding methods.
Proving and improving machining processes.
Carrying out quality checks throughout production.
Supporting continuous improvement and problem solving.
Working closely with production and quality teams.What We're Looking For
Proven experience as a CNC Miller.
Experience setting and operating CNC milling machines.
Experience with 3, 4 or 5-axis machining.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
CNC programming/editing experience.
Experience with Edgecam and/or Fusion 360 would be beneficial.
Good understanding of tooling, cutting conditions and work-holding.
High attention to detail and a commitment to producing quality components.What's On Offer
£45,000–£48,000 per year, depending on experience.
4-day working week.
Permanent, full-time position.
Based in Poole, Dorset.
