Behaviour Support Teaching Assistant | BL4, Bolton
Tradewind Recruitment are working with a welcoming primary school in the BL4 area of Bolton who are seeking a calm, patient and resilient Teaching Assistant to provide additional support to pupils who may experience behavioural, emotional or social barriers to learning.
This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who enjoys building positive relationships with children and helping them develop confidence, independence and positive attitudes towards school.
The role will involve:
Providing 1:1 and small-group support
Supporting pupils with behaviour and emotional regulation
Helping children remain focused and engaged
Encouraging positive choices and behaviour
Supporting pupils during classroom activities
Working alongside teachers and support staff
Helping children develop social and emotional skills
Reinforcing classroom routines and expectations
Supporting learning and inclusion across the schoolThe successful candidate will:
Hold a relevant Teaching Assistant, Education, Childcare, Youth Work or similar qualification OR
Have at least 6 months' experience working with children in the UK, professionally or voluntarily
Be calm, patient and consistent
Have experience or a strong interest in behaviour support
Be able to build trusting relationships with children
Have excellent communication skills
