Learning Support Assistant – SEND School – Upminster/Rainham | Immediate Start

We are working with a fantastic SEND school in the Upminster/Rainham area that is looking to appoint a dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistant to join their specialist team immediately.
The school supports pupils with a wide range of needs, including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), communication and interaction difficulties, medical syndromes, and physical and sensory needs. The school provides a nurturing, inclusive environment where every pupil receives tailored support to help them access learning, develop independence, and achieve their individual goals.
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and therapists to support pupils both in and out of the classroom. You may provide 1:1 support or work with small groups, helping students with their communication, social development, sensory regulation, and engagement in learning activities.
The ideal candidate will:
Have experience supporting children or young people with SEND
Have a good understanding of Autism and communication needs
Be patient, caring, and adaptable
Be confident supporting pupils with physical, sensory, and additional medical needs
Be passionate about helping children overcome barriers to learning
Be able to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and families

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
