We're currently recruiting for an experienced Fitter to join an established and growing engineering business.
This is an excellent opportunity for a time-served engineer with a strong background in pumps and rotating equipment to join a small, skilled team and play an important role in the continued growth of the business.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the disassembly, inspection, repair and re-assembly of various rotating equipment, primarily pumps, ensuring all work is completed to a high standard and within agreed deadlines.
Package -
Monday to Thursday
07:30 until 16:00
Friday
07:30 until 12:30
- £33,265.96 per annum
- 25 days holiday plus bank holidays

Responsibilities -
- Disassemble, inspect, repair and re-assemble pumps and other rotating equipment
- Complete work within agreed deadlines and to the highest possible standard
- Service, fit and assemble rotating equipment in accordance with company procedures
- Assist with the preparation of technical reports to company standards and customer requirements
- Work in accordance with relevant industry standards and company procedures
- Support internal teams in identifying and resolving the root causes of equipment issues
- Work as part of specialist and multi-disciplinary teams when required
- Maintain a high level of product knowledge across a variety of rotating equipment
- Contribute to achieving high levels of customer satisfaction
- Work flexibly and undertake overtime when required
The Ideal Candidate -
- Time-served Fitter/Engineer
- Proven experience servicing, fitting and assembling pumps and rotating equipment
- Ideally experienced within a service or workshop environment
- Strong mechanical engineering background
- Able to work effectively as part of a small team
- Flexible approach to tasks and working hours
- Honest, reliable and committed
- Able to produce work to a consistently high standard
