POWER PRESS TOOL SETTER
We are offering an exceptional opportunity for an experienced Press Tool Setter
Are you an experienced Power Press Setter with a strong background in high-speed presses, progression tooling or perforation tooling?
We’re looking for a skilled Power Press Tool Setter to join our busy manufacturing facility.
This is a hands-on role where you’ll be responsible for setting and operating high-speed Bruderer/Soenen perforating presses, maintaining tooling and ensuring production meets the required quality, dimensional and delivery standards.
This is a days’ role, a 4 day week, with Overtime potential on Friday and Saturdays

Commutable from Coventry, Solihull, Bedworth, Bulkington, Meriden, Coleshill, Atherstone, Bulkington and Curdworth

RESPONSIBILITIES
-
Setting and operating high-speed perforating/progression presses
-
Carrying out tool changes, tool setting and adjustments
-
Monitoring production and making machine adjustments where required
-
Completing first-off inspections and production reports
-
Diagnosing, stripping down and repairing press tooling
-
Carrying out preventative maintenance on tooling and press-shop equipment
-
Supporting tooling improvements and maintaining tooling spare parts
-
Using surface grinders and precision measuring equipment
-
Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
-
Supporting Kaizen, 5S and continuous improvement activities
-
Using SMED/set-up reduction techniques
-
Operating overhead cranes and forklift trucks
WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU !
-
Proven experience as a Power Press Setter / Press Tool Setter & Experience working with high-speed presses

Strong knowledge of progression and/or perforation tooling
-
Experience with press tooling maintenance and repair
-
Good mechanical/tooling skills
-
Ability to use micrometers, verniers and other precision measuring equipment & ability to read technical/engineering drawings
-
Experience using surface grinders
-
Knowledge of TPM, SMED and 5S
-
A good understanding of PUWER 1998
-
Overhead crane and forklift experience would be advantageous
